Medical/Travel Insurance Providers Expatriates?

Hi, I will be living and hopefully working in Spain for anything from 6 months to over a year.

I am getting the new E111 card thing and am wondering if I should get some kind of medical insurance on top of it. I don't want travel insurance that will cover baggage etc. And actually I'm not really bothered about insurance and have travelled many times outside of Europe without it... but what happens if my luck is over... (which it seems to be lately)

Well basically, I have been searching for travel insurance initially but I want something alot cheaper than the 拢65 I found... plus it might be difficult to change the dates since I don't know when I'll be coming back to England.

Is medical insurance generally cheaper than travel insurance? I have applied for a quote from 2 companies but I have to wait until after the weekend for them to call me... which they probably wont.

Is it worth getting extra medical coverage other than the e111 card thing which is free anyway! yay!
