went to hospital they ran tests and sent me to a specialest gave me a list of tests to get done went back to hospilal thew wanted proof of insurance or money don't have either Be upfront about not having insurance, and some hospitals will give you financial assistance or a sliding scale fee. There are also sliding scale clinics out there, so ask around for them. My husband owes his life to a hospital that was willing to offer us financial assistance, so I know how overwhelming and frightening this can be. You could try some form of public assistance. And if the hospital you go to doesn't accept public aid (some don't) search around for one that does. You could also search for a hospital that will help you out with a reasonable payment plan. check out programs and see what programs you can be on. go to government support agency for medicaid, foodstamps and cash assistance. What state are you in? Have you applied for medicaid? Does your state have clinics for free care? go to your public aid office they will give you a medical card and help you every state has them |
