What should I do if I have insurance but no money to pay my part of medical bills? |
I need healthcare and I have insurance but I'm a college kid and I don't have any money whatsoever even to pay the 25% or whatever for my medical bills after insurance. I've been getting medical bills and some are about to go to collections. Don't tell me to pay them 'cause I can't. What can I do to not mess up my credit score? Will the hospitals be willing to extend deadlines if I ask to pay them $10 a month or something? Any other suggestions? No, they should not be offended if you offer them $10.00 a month. Even if they were, who cares. If that is all that you can pay, then that is all that you can pay. Be sure you tell them, that $10.00 is all that you can afford to pay. You might stress to them that $10.00 a month is better than nothing. Good luck! i am in the same boat there is help out there dont give up there should be some kind of funding in you comunity that may be able to help you out they may go bass on what you bring in gross or net so try this out. None payment of medical bills do not effect your credit, even in collections. They have to except what ever payment you send them. Remember, you don't ask them, you tell them.
