I have many medical issues, but I'm only 30 years old. I don't have health insurance. What di I do? |
cataracts, tinea versicolor(?), osgoodschlater's(?), hpv, plantar faciitis(?), and probably a lot more i don't know about. please help. try to get a medical card at the welfare office..you never know you may qualify for you. there is no shame in this... Then buy insurance. Do what the illegals do. They get help with very serious problems somehow. I would suggest moving to a healthier climate, getting a few hobbies, and adjusting your lifestyle as best you can. Many of us have medical issues that can be tolerated. Theodore Roosevelt, one of our great presidents, was unhealthy as a child, and gained much better health after moving west. I probably have as many medical issues as you do, and I'm 65. I won't worry about them unless they require immediate treatment. I guess the answer depends on why you do not have insurance... is 1. your job doesn't offer health coverage 2. you can't afford it 3. something else... 1. if your employer doesn't offer health insurance there are many companies out there than you can buy personal coverage through 2. if you can't afford it next step would be to see what types of government assistence you qualify for. 3. if there is a different reason I would need to know the reason before I could give you a definite answer. If you cannot afford health coverage and do not qualify for government assistence my advice would be to check around to see if there are any low income clinics. If there is one that would be your best bet as they do not require insurance and will work with you and your income to base what they charge for their services and are willing to work out payment plans Ask your doctor what type of prgrams and assistance you are eligible for. If he /she is no help go to your local: 1)Social Security Office ( first choice & best) 2)Dept. of Family & Children Services 3)online assistance move to australia. Medical care is free as are most medications and operations why do you think we have so many illegal immigrants |
