Besides your mortgage what are your average spending costs for your home. heating/water/insurance/property tax

I want to buy a home, but I'm afraid I won't be able to afford everything...I'd prefer an answer from somebody who lives where it is cold, because I'm in Montana and I know during the winter the heating bill will rise.

Well, your principal, interest, taxes and insurance would be about 1% of the loan amount. In other words if your loan is for $100k then your payment would be $1000 per month. If you're already in Montana and plan to stay there AND pay a power & water bill then, you would have a good idea of what that bill would be. Source(s): http://sbigley.primelendimg.com...
