There is a service that helps people with short fall of their mortgaged endowment plan . Can you provide me more information and their email address. I was also amazed to read read Msmortag answerer - It IS COMPLETELY WRONG, and as someone else said worrying as it comes from a Mortgage adviser! There are many places you can go for advice, and i would recommend you try the following first: Call the FSA - they will be able to give you good advice on the way forward, who you need to complain to etc etc - telephone 0207 066 1000 Complain direct to the company who sold you the endowment in the first place, a good website which will help you with a complaint letter is www.endowmentaction.co.uk (this link may be out of date but it will re-direct you to correct site) I would avoind all those companies who say they can get you thousands of extra pounds etc etc, cause they will charge you a vary large fee for doing it. Try complaining yourself first. You could try a good Independent Financial Adviser, however, they may well charge you for the advice, but it may be cheaper than one of those companies that advertise on the TV etc. To find an IFA in you area go to www.unbiased.co.uk and enter your postcode. Firstly if your endowment is a full endownment then you can claim but if it was a low cost endowment it was never meant to pay off your mortgage. There are lots of companies advertised on TV but firstly I would have a quick chat with the Citizens Advice Bureau, they will recommend a reputable company.
