Can anyone tell me where I can find strategies on how to close residencial mortgage loans quicker? |
I am a loan officer and i am trying to assemble a system where i can originate more and close all my loans more efficently. I have a lot of fall out from my pipeline and i want to figure a way to be more efficient. 4 months agoI want a way where i can keep my clients with me and not falling out the pipeline. Getting the appraisal faster and all that. Study other companies processes and use what you find there. As you know, many players are involved in these transactions and sometimes you just can't hurry an attorney writing his title opinion...he could claim the abstractor is slow...or the recorder's office is antiquanted...or so on. However, two ideas come to mind. First, use technology. Developing systems that remove "handoffs" is going to give you your best return on this investment. Second, wear more of the hats. Nothing speeds up the process more than if you were a title attorney and an abstractor, for example. If not you, then hire someone who does hold multiple skills required. Find and nuture a relationship with a lender that puts your work on the top of their pile. Good luck. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Since you are the loan officer and not the broker there is little you can really do within the system. As for the fall out from the pipeline it happens all the time. You need to understand the close rate for loans is small. That is why it is important to keep the hopper full.
