Who is more valued in society, the bankers who pay armies, politicians, and make mortgage loans or soldiers? |
Who is more valued in society, the bankers who pay armies, politicians, and make mortgage loans or soldiers? I want to think that in our society, the soldiers are more valued since they are keeping us from the entanglements of the actuality of war on our streets (at least in the U.S.). But when I think about what money does to an individual, I am afraid that this is the cost we pay - the bankers are more valued for the end result they can provide. Money talks...bs walks... bankers, our country thrives on greed and money. simple as that The Soldiers of course . I wonder why they don't get paid accordingly ? This is one of the questions that loses something being read as compared to hearing it. Do you mean what "should be" valued by society, or what actually is? I value soldiers more than anything else. Thy are truly only "real" men (even when their women). I mean that in a good way. We should bestow upon our soldiers some greater societall priviliedges. For starters, if they've seen combat, they should get some sort of mega-vote in our election for the remainder of their life---something like 5 to 10 votes for every one of a non-soldier's vote. Immediate free family hmo membership as well. Thats just starters. The bankers are already taken care of well-enough. They shouldn't be penalized for being in their position, but do not deserve to be regarded in any better lght than they already are. my brain |
