Why are loan officers from mortgage companies picky about their clients. Good buyers go to prime lenders ok? Because they want to make a profit and reduce risk. Imagine a bunch of people come to you asking to borrow big piles of money. You'd be picky too. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Loan officers have certain guidelines they need to adhere to when qualifying a client for a loan. If the prospective client does not meet the guidelines for the loans a loan officer has available, they cannot take the client. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to qualify for a mortgage. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Being picky, in my opinion, is having the confidence and thorough knoweldge about their available products/programs. Loan Officers would not want to waste a borrower's time should the scenarios do not fit their guidelines/program matrix.
