I just got preapproved for a home purcahse loan thru bank of america, and the only score they pulled was Experian. Dont know if they will ever pull the other 2 prior to closing though. Most lenders use your "mid-score" when determining your credit score for an application. Example of this is: Experian-550, Transunion-620, Equifax, 625, your score used would be TransUnion. There are lenders that will use either the highest score or the lowest score as well, depending on the type of loan program you are trying to get into. For instance, the lender I work for has a program called AAA which is for borrowers with scores over 650, in order to qualify your lowest score must be 650 or above. 5 years as a mortgage professional |
