Question About Online Banking?

I recieved an email from an online bank that says someone tried to access my account, when I don't have an account with them. How did this get sent to my email, what could be the problem and what should I do?

they are phishing for info. delete it.
It may of just been junk mail then. I don't open any emails unless I know how it is from
If you are sure that you have no account with them, then do nothing. When it comes to online banking, I advice that you be very meticulous about your dealings and the things you punch in with your keyboard
Usually this is spam mail trying to get your personal information so that people can use it to set up an account or steal your identity. I would call the actuall bank and if not don't go to the page and dopn't input any information on the web page.
YOUR IN DANGER OF IDENTITY THEFT!!! Be very careful and do not give them any information. NOTHING!!!! Also you may want to check your credit and watch your credit card statements very carefully. Good Luck Buda.
This is called phishing. Don't open the e-mail and definitely don't give out any information. What these people do is send out all the scam e-mails to people hoping that someone will actually have an account with that bank. When that person thinks he is accessing the banks website, he really isn't. He has been redirected to the con artists web site. All of the information he enters at the site will go to the scammer. Then that scammer has all of the other persons personal data and can basically steal any information and money. Just delete that e-mail. If you ever receive an e-mail from your bank, I would contact them first to make sure it is real. There are so many people who can create websites that look like the real website of any bank. You just want to protect yourself from identity theft. Never give out personal information to a website unless you have actually typed in the URL and you know that you have reached the correct website.
That is probably a phishing scam, meant to try to get you to give out financial information so they can reap your wealth, similar to those silly little commercials shown on television about the old ladies with the young guys voices dubbed over them.

Just ignore them and delete them.

Or if you are adamant, there are sites to list these potential phishing scams and to report internet crime.

To answer how...there are many ways they can get your email so it is hard to determine that.
