Removing drivecleaner (trojan) / Online banking security?

How do I remove drivecleaner 2006 and know the tool I am using is completely safe, will work and won't wreck my PC? eg is spyware-remove.com genuine?

I have no current issues or anything odd happening but could drive cleaner compromise security of e.g online banking?

Use Ccleaner to remove Dcleaner, then run all your anti spyware and an anti virus in Safe Mode.

Before attempting to remove malware you must switch off System Restore as back up files will be hiding in there, and it will just restore itself. Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
Run your anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.

Then beef up your security. Its easier to prevent malware getting on to your sytem in the first place rather than trying to remove it. All the following programs are free for personal use;

You need to install one firewall.

don't worry, drive cleaner can not affect your security. however it is quite annoying and useless so you can remove it from your computer. as you don't want to download or buy some unknown removal tool, you can manually erase drive cleaner. all you need to know is which files are related to this malware, and a list of drive cleaner's filenames is here:
