On my wells fargo online banking accounts page it says "gap in check sequence"- what does this mean?

And what are the ramifications?
Thanks!

Not a major deal. Just make sure they numbers that are missing are listed in your register and there is a logical reason why they haven't cleared yet. They may have been mailed a longer distance, the payee may just have not cashed or deposited your check yet, etc. Just make sure you know who they are too and that they are not lost or stolen. If you feel they may be lost or stolen, contact your bank immediatley to put a stop payment on the missing checks.
No ramifications - it just means that on that statement, there's a check missing in the numerical sequence of checks that have cleared. Usually just means something hasn't been deposited yet, or you voided one.
that means you have some checks missing. did you write checks from 2 different books? if not close the account immediately.
No ramifications....

You just skipped a check, maybe 2 stuck together or you skipped one.
Or it could be that someone hasnt cashed a check that you did right.
