What is the best online bank between ING Direct, HSBC Direct, and Emigrant Direct? Anyone have any experience?

I am looking for a bank that offers a high yield (all three currently provide 4% or more) but also a lot of options - fast transfers, automatic transfers, no fees, etc... If anyone has experience with these banks, I would appreciate it so I could make an informed decision.

I love;
ING Direct: Great on-Line system, good rates (not the best).

GMACBank.com: (free ATM card & direct transfer to/from more than one bank, also they rebate ATM fees - up to a max I believe is $6 per month, Free checks (if you want them).

HSBC Direct: No experiance with but they are a world leader and I'd be surprised if they were anything but great.

Not happy with;
Emigrant Direct: On line system is poor, (everytime you open a new account... you must go through 90% of the original prodeedure). Other minor but annoying problems. Source(s): Rates change with all these banks. You'll rarely find any of them in the top 10 every year.

I've used ING. No fees. Can't say anything about the others. Really have liked ING, though.
I have experience with all three. I ended up with HSBC Direct for convenience - and it currently has the highest rate 4.8%

All will give you the ability to easily transfer in and out via ANY US checking account - no matter which bank.

ING and Emigrant both took a couple of days, but now with HSBCDirect - it is pretty much instantaneous - because I also have a checking account with them. At this time, it makes the most sense for me.

HSBC is also a global bank - they can actually assist you to open an account in ANY country they have a branch network in that you decide to move to - I also thought that very attractive as well.
