Can i use bank checks online?
it's called electronic check presentment. you need to provide the routing and account number. the merchant then generates a electronic check using the information provided and sends to the paying bank via the ach network. the transaction is processed electronically. this check is not signed. FEDERAL LAW authorises this type of transaction. MOST BANKS AND MERCHANTS opt to use this method as it is fast and covenient.however you cannot use this for purchases as the card can be authorised and charged immediately and the above transaction takes a day.it's normally used to pay your credit card, utility, electricity bills.....

citibank service officer i don't think you can use a regular bank check, but if you have a checking account, some vendors (usually utlity companies) allow ACR or automatic clearing routing, i think that's how it spell to automatically deduct money from your bank account to pay for items.
