Can money be transferred online from one bank account to another bank account?

do i need to go to bank to transfer money from one account to another account all the time, or can i do it online? i have online bank account, so is it possible?

The bank I use to work at would not allow you to transfer money from one account to another one at a different bank online. If they were at the same bank then you could. You could set up that transfer but you would have to do it at the bank. You should always set up the transfer at the bank the money is coming from. Trust me its easier for the bank that way and if your bank wont do it its bc they are lazy or a crappy bank. I could go on and on but I'll stop. If you're trying to transfer from two different banks, you'll more than likely need to visit the branch and fill out a transfer form.
