If everybody were to quit working and get on government programs, who will pay the taxes to fund the programs? |
So many people seem to want the government to pay for their health care and their cheese and their every need... what happens if ALL of us decide we want this? Who will pay into the tax base that funds these programs then? No one is talking about helping out the truly needy or elderly/sick here.. What gets old is the generations of people who live off welfare and treat it like a legitimate "salary" I cashiered in a grocery store and every other week I'd see the gramma, her daughter, HER daughter (with HER baby) come in and buy 1,000. bucks worth of food on their ACESS cards.. What is that 3 generations and another one coming up? Those are the people that need to get up and work.. Read "Atlas Shrugged", by Ayn Rand to find out... salaries decreased to fund the program? the politicians of course.... ... ... Baw hahahahahaha... knew I couldn't say that with a straight face... politicians... thats funny... Since there aren't any government programs that provide for people's every needs forever if they are able to provide for themselves, this question is moot. Ur right all the folks at haliburton want the governement to pay for their limos yachts ans mansions and it does By your rant it is easy to see that you don't have the foggiest idea what you are talking about. What percentage of people do you think are on the dole? Why do you think they are? Do you support your elderly parents or grandparents? Do you think they want to live with you supporting them? They are probably retired but still need to live. Some people are working very hard but are unable, for some reason, to work at a job that offers medical care, there are fewer doing so every day (especially small companies) or to even put much food on the table. They need assistance so their kids don't starve. What about the Vietnam veteran who was wounded and has no lower limbs? He is also a bit goofy in the head because he served his country so your spoiled little a** could have what you have and you could do what you do. He can't get much money and so he gets government assistance. Or how about the single mother whose husband died in war or of a catastrophic illness and she can't make it without assistance? You can sit up all high and mighty on your high horse but you need to see a little reality. Some day you will be old and sick. You will need some assistance and will moan like a Banchee if you aren't getting it. That would be hypocaracy. Maybe we'll just say so sorry you don't believe in this sort of thing and you get nothing. So stay under the overpass, cold, poor, in bad health and hungry see if I care. |
