How can i get pet insurance.? |
I did some research and most of the pet insurance you have to pay upfront and then you file a claim and get reimbursed. Does any one know of a pet insurance that you pay a co-payment at the time of the medical visit? Hi Sunshinemusic All of the pet insurance providers in the United States require that you pay up front and then wait for reimbursement. The main reason that this is done is because the pet insurance industry lacks a provider payment network like the one that many of us are accustomed to with people health insurance. However there are exceptions to this that can be arranged on a case-by-case basis with your veterinarian and the pet insurance company. Typically this would be for non-emergency procedures that could be pre-certified and arranged in advance. I hope this helps, sorry I can't be more encouraging. Alex Embrace Pet Insurance http://www.embracepetinsurance.com... Try www.petinsurance.com, or do a web search for pet insurance and you find all kinds of companies. Most veterinary offices have brochures and you can also look at the AKC info online at AKC.org There are quite a few insurance companies. After doing a little reading you will find out if insurance is a good financial decision for you and your pet. http://users.cyberport.net/~milnerwm/dac... |
