Has anyone ever bought pet insurance?? |
If so, do you think it was worth it?? Yes I have VIP Pet insurance for my dog. It cost me about 30.00 a month and on average I get back 1/2 of what I have paid the vet. Last vet bill was 210.58 and I got 97.80 back from the insurance. So yes I think it is worth it. Think if the bill was 3000.00 and I got half of that back!! It would be very worth it. My dog it only 5 months old right now so the vet bills are small but as he ages they could get up there!! Good luck. Goto VIP pet insurance and check it out. Chritina:: I tryed to do the Aspca one but in the state of Washingtom they do not cover hardley anything. Thta is one thing to check into. In some states they only have the very small policy and it did not cover anything. VIP has 5 different levels I pay for the middle one. I haven't but i think it is a good investment. You never know when you may need it. I have VPI pet insurance for all three of my animals - cat, 2 guinea pigs. It costs me about $24/month for all three. Is it worth it? Personally, I think so. My cat is crazy and eats everything - knowing my luck he'll have an "incident" that would require serious medical care. Though hopefully not *knock on wood* Guinea pigs get sick very quickly, and the care and treatment for them can add up quickly (funny...tiny animals, BIG bills!). Mines faster at paybacks... i have small dogs with fragile legs . . . so it is indeed worth it. |
