My father passed away and his wife wont give me info on insurance and property or will info probate help?

they lived in rockisland ILL ,he could not read and write well and i know she is trying to block me from getting anything i was his only child.

Wills are public knowledge after the person dies. Check registrars of deeds office in county he lived. Probate court is your only alternative to gaining any inheritance. Check with an attorney, most will work for a percentage of the inheritance or estate. Good Luck!

Go see an estate attorney, and contest the will if you have to. If you believe you were part of his will, then you may have to get a lawyer involved.
if i were you.. i would call the courts and try to get an attorney. if you are your fathers only child then you have a right to know! you can fight her in court to know about your father
I would B fired up if I were U My dads girlfriend is into this type of plot too. If I was u go 2 the courts get u a consultant to give u free advise 2 the right connects then tell them she forged the accetts he left 2 u .try 2 get the proof or just tell them shes gaurding it from you then u may have a strong case.
His wife is entitled to everything unless otherwise stated in a will. I suggest you do talk with a lawyer about it and find out for yor self don't wait for her that will lower your chance of getting anything whatsoever.
