If you have a Job and are not an owner, a multilines personal agent can expect to make $20,000 to $25,000 a year. A multilines commercial agent can expect to make $25,000 to $35,000 a year. What matters is what kind of company you work for, what kind of producing you're going to do, and what your contract states your commission % will be. Ballpark, as a fresh beginner, 30-40,000 starting. 50-70 within 2-5 years after starting, after that, it's up to you. Advice - Try to get on with a private insurance firm rather than a "name" company. A private firm can do buisness through more companies and thus offer better rates than competitors.
