I own a mobile home but I only want to insure the contents,do I need to purchase home or renters insurance? Look into a select value homeowners policy. This way you could select the dwelling coverage at a low amount while still carrying personal property coverage. Source(s): http://www.insuremyhouse.com That makes no sense. Why don't you care about your mobile home getting destroyed? Maybe what you need is something like a condo insurance. Check out this link: http://www.insurance.com/faqs/homefaqdet... Modified 1 year ago You need home insurance. That usually has a clause that covers the contents of the home. Also most policy's will cover replacement and clean up costs if the mobile home is destroyed. If you are located in a mobile home park check with the managers of the park, you may need to carry insurance that protects them and other home owners in the area. Sometimes this is a condition of being able to rent space to park your mobile home. It may depend on what state you are in, but generally speaking if you do not want to insure your dwelling, regardless of how little sense that actually makes, then that is risk you assume. A quick phone call to just about any agent in your area will answer your question in your state. |
