In your shopping, if you find one renter's insurer that has rates well below the others, that might be a sign that you may not get as much service as you are expecting.

Since there are so many good renter's insurance companies out there, singling out any one does a disservice to all the rest.

Usually your best bet is to get it through the same company that has your auto insurance. This way you could qualify for a multi-line discount. Call your agent and ask for it.
