If not satisfied with their service, go to their PR dept. Next, to your local ombudsman. Next to the Insurance bureau for grievance redress. Next to the local newspaper. or your favorite TV station. So, you have several avenues open. Do it in stages. Keep a log of all conversations and documents related to the incident. Throw nothing away until the matter is settled to your satisfaction. If you don't have renter's insurance, you probably won't get anything. I had a power surge that burned up my computer, the kitchen appliances, my TV and VCR and a number of other things. The owner's insurance paid me not one penny. The only way I got any money was to prove that the surge was the fault of the power company. I was able to do that and got a portion of my loss back. |
