| *Loan,banking and credit>>>secured loan |
I am asked to supply my ss number before i can get started on a loan. I ask you how secure is this service??? |
I must supply my SS # in order to get infor about a loan. My question is " Is this service secured that my SS # will not be broadcast on the internet. Don't you dare put your SS# on the net in any manner or fashion unless it's because you are already going to join a reputable service by knowing the qualifications up front. You go to your local bank and talk to them about it in person. i wouldnt do it online. Uh, what service? We'd need to know who the loan was with, and what website. Go to your local bank branch...don't get loans online. If its a reputable bank, you shouldnt have any problems. With todays society, almost anybody can get your SS#.It seems like if you've ever put your number on a job application or at the DMV,its out there anyway.Like I said,if its a legitimate company, and they request it for the loan............................. There is nothing inherently unsafe about providing your SS to someone in a loan application. Any loan provider will need that to run a credit report on you. If this is a reputable company -- e.g. e-Loan, e*Trade, any many, many more, you have nothing to worry about. But you don't say who you are dealing with. If you're dealing with John's Corner Loan Shark, you're not goign to fare well whether you're doing it in person or over the net. If this is a bank that u can walk in to and they will help then it should be ok. I would never do this over the internet for a loan. But that is me personally. Plus they do need your SS number to check your credit history so they can give you a rate and approve you. |
