Is it legal for a survey company to ask you for your social insurance no# and visa no3? |
Who checks on these scams? Of course they can ask you....they can ask anything they want. But you have to let them know you aren't going to give it to them. They are just being scammers and it probably isn't a survey company. I would be extremely leery of such a request and wouldn't comply. I can see where a legitimate company might need this info in order to pay you but it's too difficult to differentiate between who's legit and who's not. I don't know if its illegal but you shouldn't give it to them. yes never ever give this information over the phone too many crooks Definetly Illegal Hey! This is known as Phishing, people are known for sending emails out that seem legit, but ask for personal information...
