I am on social security disability...i have my own health insurance..do i qualify for health ins or any other? The above answerer is right: if you are on Social Security disability for 24 months, you should qualify for Medicare. If you have your own insurance right now, you probably can鈥檛 qualify for Medicaid, but I鈥檝e included a link to state Medicaid sites just in case. If you have been on disability 2 yrs. or more you should qualify for both A & B parts of Medicare. Contact your local Social Security office for more information.
