If you get caught in the state of California, driving without an insurance, what is the fine you have to pay? |
I have been driving my car without insurance, and I am afraid of being stop by the police for a minor thing. And being asked for insurance. I dont have insurance because it is too expensive for me and I dont have the money. I need to drive my car everyday to college but I cant afford to pay for an insurance. I want to know, how much money if have to pay if I am caught. You know, that is the least of your worries. Who gives a damn what the fine is, look at what it can really cost you. Have an accident, write off your car, write off the other car, and severely injure the driver, a young engineer, or surgeon, and you will be sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you lose one of those suits, you will be paying for the rest of your life, and won't be able to bankrupt yourself out of it. There is no such thing as not being able to afford insurance to drive, you can't afford to drive without it. Park your car and take the bus. But if you insist on knowing, the MINIMUM fine is $500, court costs, and probable seizure of plates and impound of vehicle. If you have any kind of accident and have no insurance, your licence is also suspended. Then, like others, you are back in here saying "help!". hi....... To get your doubts cleared regarding insurance visit the web site..... http://autoinsuranceinfo.50webs.com... http://freewebs.com/autoinsuranceinfo... Then get off the roads I drive until you get insurance. Take the bus, carpool, walk but you have NO BUSINESS being on the road. You can't afford car insurance, buddy you can't afford NOT to have car insurance. And you can't afford a lawsuit either, especially if you hit me (or someone like me)...I'm coming after everything you currently own, everything you may own, every dime you earn now and in the future, and then some. To answer your question, the fine is H U G E ! HUGE! You get caught, you're looking at a fine of OVER $3000 easily and your license will be suspended and if the general public is lucky your car will be impounded. So, tell me again how you can't afford insurance???? The actual fine is only around $500, but court costs and potential liabilities for accidents can run into MILLIONS. The minimum fine is $500.00 plus your drivers license will be suspended, your vehicle registration will be suspended, and you car will probably be impounded. I'm sure you can find the money to buy beer for your week end party's, so get insurance like every body else. By the way, the police don't have to stop you to find out if you have insurance. They can just run your license plate number and your DMV record will show that your car is not insured. |
