Will i get my license taken away, if i was caught driving w/out insurance in the state of GA?? |
i went to jail for not having insurance but i do have insurance now..and my court date is on the 25th of this month..!!! Do i get my bail money out for that?? my bail out was $846..Alot of money ****!!! Do i need to bring them my proof of insurance?? plz help..!! Take proof of insurance and they will just give you a small fine for not having it on you at the time you were stopped. They won't take your license unless you have some type of violation such as tickets; expired license; warrants etc. If you have any of those, you will be locked up. If not, just bring your license, registration and insurance and you should just pay a small fine and they'll let you go. If you don't have all of the money they will make payment arrangements with you. Just bring some type of money with you on the 25th. Good Luck! PS: Don't pay any attention to what broken wrote. You deserve it! Get a lawyer.. most will work out a payment plan (total cost may be 1000). When it comes to your right to drive, you'll need legal help It's a lot of money, but you should have bought insurance in the first place!!!! Yes bring your proof of insurance, and they will probably be okay. But you won't get bail money back. you aint getting your bail money back .......its history .......they probally will drop the charges if you show proof of valid insurance ........but you got caught driving without it and your bail is history , you commited the ''crime '' and paid the bail to get out .........if you woulda waited in jail until your hearing you would of been released with out having to pay bail .....also if you just stay in jail they probally would of let you out in the morning ......bail is gone ......next time just sit in jail ......
