If I get a ticket for speeding in Virginia (13 over limit) will it effect my insurance in NY State?


I understand that NY State doesn't accept points from other states. BUT, will my insurance company find out even if the points don't carry over?
I am licensed in NY State.

NO! NY does not count out of state tickets and insurance companies get their information from your driving record so if its not shown in your driving history den dey cnt find out. Source(s): ny dmv

I went to Massachusetts for a ticket. No points, fined, printed on insurance issued driving record copy.
