Why is Allstate Insurance NOT in every state??? Shouldn't it be called Somestate Insurance? |
I just noticed that when I saw their commercial, ealier today. Allstate Insurance is in every state, however, they may not offer ALL their polices in every state. For example, a few years ago, Allstate quit writing auto policies in CA due to the amount of insurance fraud. They have since started writing policies again. Same with homeowners insurance....they have pulled out of some states due to the risk level. Source(s): Former Allstate employee pretty funny lol or maybe it should be called moststate insurance Good question. I never noticed that before! Ha! How about 'Allmostallstate'? It is not unusual to have an insurance company name not synch with reality. GEICO stands for Government Employees Insurance Company....but they sell to more than just government employees. Allstate is not in every state because there are some states where the government regulators have so screwed up the marketplace for insurance that insurers won't write there. |
