Do traffic violations in other states, come back to effect your insurance in your own state? |
Do traffic violations in other states, come back to effect your insurance in your own state? Sometimes they do. I got a ticket in Wyoming & it did not count against me in Colorado. But, other states like NY & NJ have cross state databases. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than 陆 after I did. Go to: http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?ref... Take care, Casey Simple answer is yes. Any moving violation in any state goes on your record and your insurance company checks when they renew. Depending on the severity it may up your rates. Your insurance company will always find out. Whether or not your state will assess points to your license depends on if they have a reciprocal agreement with the state you got it in. Yes they do. Personal experience. Many states participate in a "Drivers License Compact" and the "Nonresident Violator Compact" where information about your violations are shared among different states. Check out the link below to see a list of the participating states. Your insurance will go up when they look up your license. http://www.dmv.org/help/questions/104/... www.dmv.org |
