my niece is 5 years old and no doctor can find out what is wrong with her. She can not talk or walk. She wears a leg brace in order to stand up and walk with assistant. I don't believe she gets enough help.
I don't know too much about federal or state help except SSI which has many stipulations, but there are many different places for you to find the help you need. If she gets medicade, there is a support for doctor help and help with medical things she might need thur Childrens Medical Services. Also check with your Defax office in your area. Most insurances will pay for 4 visits to a physical theropist a month if you can get a doctors orders. The computer is also a great way to find help. The best advice I could give you is to be persistive. Don't give up and keep asking! It will pay off.
