How does health insurance work if I work in a different state than my dependents? I'm getting a divorce and may be relocating to a different state but I'm unsure of how to provide health insurance for them if I'm in a different state.
It will depend on your new employers policy as to who they purchase their insurance through. Most times in this situation the policy that is covered by your employer is the basic. Anything above and beyond what they carry is YOUR responsibility.
