| *Loan,banking and credit>>>state insurance |
In the state of Tenn they require you to get insurance before you get your DL but what if you don't have car ? |
in most cases around here if someone looses their DL they are required by the state to carry a type of Insurance called SR22 on a vechile..What does a person do if they dont have a vechile...You have to carry & show proof of insurance on some type of vehicile before they will issue you a DL..... So any suggestions that ive not heard before ?~~THANKS~~ The state of TN will let you get a "non owners" SR22. That way you have insurance for any vehicle you have permission to drive. Some states have what is called a drivers policy. This policy covers any car that a driver is driving, such as a borrowed car or if you have 25 different cars (God Bless you Dad) and don't want to insure every one of them. Bear in mind that it only covers you as the driver, so you can't loan your car to ANYONE because they will not be covered. Also, most insurance companies don't advertise this policy because they want premiums from all of your cars, not just on you. This type of insurance may not be available in your state but it is sure worth a phone call to your local agent or research on an online insurance company. I used to have a drivers policy. Different companies call it different things, you can it a non-operators bond or an sr-22 bond. Both meaning that you do not have regular access to vehicle but still need insurance. |
