What happends when an insurance agent has their licence revoked by the state? |
How long is it revoked. When can I get it back. It last until requirements are accepted by the government again. The laws vary from state to state. You can check with your state insurance board or your company for some guidance. If you are losing your license they should tell you how long it will be revoked. I would guess that some grounds for revocation could lead to a permanent revocation, but others would more likely be for a year on up. I'd be surprised if any state would revoke the license for less than a year. If this is your life's career, the best thing is not to get that license revoked. I held life insurance, annuities and securities licenses in Texas quite a few years ago, and I recall the penalties could be rather severe. |
