Will auto insurance companies know my driving record in other state? will they check the other state's record?

I used to stay in CA and I have zero violations, basically my record in CA is 100% clean. Then I moved to Indiana for college for a few years. There I got a moving violation ticket and I also made a claim with my insurance company (progressive) for a minor property damage; I crashed into my apartment's carport (this wasn't major accident and only my insurance and apartment know)
So, I have moved back to CA now, and Im considering getting insurance from other companies. Will they know my driving record in Indiana (1 moving violations ticket and the 1 claim i made to progressive)? What are the consequences of witholding this info? My driving record in CA is very clean and Im concerned about disclosing info that I should't have to. I will probably tell them about the claim i made to progressive. but is it ok not to tell them of my moving vioaltions ticket? know they can check from MVR for driving record and from CLUE for claims. But will they check my IN record or CA only?I have CA licens

You remind me of a client I had that moved here from another province. When we received his driving record, he was mad. He said his accident shouldn't count because he didn't have that car anymore, he sold it before he moved, and besides, the woman he hit was a "witch" with a b. You don't hide claims or violations, because they find out anyway.
Depends on the company, the violations are linked to your driver's license not just the state. If you had you CA license when you lived in IN there is a good chance that they will find out your past driving record. Also when applying for auto insurnace you are required to show proof of current and past insurance coverage so you do not have to pay more, they can always contact Progressive and find out.
The agent is going to ask you about accidents and tickets in the past 3 or 5 years. If you state that you have not had any tickets the agent is going to use that info. Some companies will cancel your policy when they find out you had a ticket because you lied to them at the time of application. If you got away with it and had an accident, and they then found out about the ticket there is a possibility that they might deny the claim based on material misrepresentation at the time of application. The application is a legal contract. If you had a CA license at the time of the ticket it is probably on your license. You had the ticket, pay the higher premiums
