The hotline number to call is: 1-800-826-9662. It is an excellent free program. Also, they can give you a list of more free state aids and resources in your area. Please, Give Baby Your Baby a Call. You won't be sorry. Their the BEST. Medical covers exprecting mothers and when you give birth your child can continue on Medical...good luck Find a phone book and look for some free clinics in your area... or you could just use the internet! Go to your local Health Department. They can help you with the medical part or give you the proper starting place. look in the phone book for your local county health/human services and give them a call. ask the nurse at your clinic.you can try the county or state health depts. all these can give you the info you need, and will help you get what you need. get in touch with your local WIC (women, infants,children) office. they can help you out with nutrition and will help with formula once the baby is born. they can also tell you or steer you in the direction you need for medical coverage also. all these agencies can be found in the local or county government section of your phone book. i hope this helps, i have been there and i thank god for the help!!!! good luck!!!! experience First contact your local "Child Support Division",to make sure the guy who got you pregnant,does'nt get away with not helping you,to support your child. He is just as much reponsible,as you are,then contact "Family and Children Services". I'm sure there is one in the area you live in. It should be listed in the phone book,or call the operator,and she will give you the number. You can also look up it's website,which will give you the information you need,and where to apply for help. Also try "Planned Parenthood". They can help you with free prenatal exams,and refer you to the specific agencies you need (Good Luck). |
