Do I have to have my own auto insurance to drive someone else's car in the state of Florida?

Do I have to have my own auto insurance to drive someone else's car in the state of Florida?

You should be covered under the owners insurance if your just driving it once or twice. If your going to use it for a longer period of time you would have to be added to his insurance as the primary driver of that car.
Check with his insurance company for sure but there shouldn't be a extra charge for adding you as a driver under his current policy.
You don't HAVE to do anything you don't want to.
