In the state of New jersey does the police have a computer that verifies your insurance policy on your vehicle

I was stopped recently and I Have valid insuraNCE (out of state FL) THE COP went to his car and said the computer showed my insurance was expired. I think he just wanted to give me a ticket.

Did you have your current insurance card with you? All states have the ability to check for valid car insurance.
all states have access to insurance status.
the laptops in the police cars are linked to the department of motor vehicles. So to answer your question, yes they can verify it.
I seriously doubt it unless ur state reports insurance status to the police
