Will be moving sometime in the future and don't want to move in and support an area like that...
Greene county in Missouri and the city of Springfield, Missouri has a law that makes pits wear a muzzle all the time while out with there owner and have current shots and they have to have a micro disk in planted with there name and owners info if they are lost and you have to pay the city for all this trouble $30.00 per a pit.

all insurance no matter were you are wants to know what pets there are in the home. i have huskys they are in the top 10 on the insurance companys list.i live in virginia but i keep my dogs behind a huge fence in a big yard.as for pits they are almost ready to outlaw them here because bad owners make bad dogs.we had over 10 attacks in this state alone this year. like i said just bad owners teaching the dog to be mean.the best way to check is use 411 and call the local spca where ever you are moveing and ask.the spca down the road from me wont even adopt a pit out. its a shame ive seen a few there that were very nice. you would probably be surprised to find out youre own town probably has regulations on pits already
