I been at my place of work for 8 years(state job) ,I think im ready for a change? What about health insurance?

I need it and so do my 2 kids.

If there is a delay between your old job and benefits start date of your new one, you can pay for COBRA. It allows you to keep your old insurance benefits for a period of time, but it is very expensive. It cost me about $1000 a month for me and my family.

state jobs an beneifits are worth thinking about. really do some checking to see what its gonna cost you.........
As far as COBRA. Some employers will pay your COBRA from previous job for 90 days untill you go under their insurance. I am not saying every employer will, should are are required to. Some, if they want you bad enough will.
