Do you have to report minor violations from one state when trying to get car insurance in another state? |
(minor violations example: speeding or traffic signal infractions) Much better to be honest to them rather than they are the one who will discover because they will still check your background as a driver because it is one of their basis in calculating your car insurance premium. You can find some insurance company that could give you less insurance payments, try to visit this site http://www.nightbirdssolutions.com... check out the companies that can offer for you a cheap car insurance premium. Goodluck Yes. They are going to ask where you lived and where you had a drivers license. Moving to another state does not make these things go away. If you lie, they will find out and can cancel you insurance retroactively. This means if they pay a claim and then find out you lied, you could end up owing the claim payment back. Years ago you used to be able to get away with stuff like that, but these days with just about every DMV and license bureau hooked up via computer, that doesn't happen anymore. But I would get a copy of your driving record from your previous state and see if any of the violations are on it before reporting that you have them. Absolutely. Your driving record is what determines your premium for your policy. Its always best to be upfront w/ these tickets when purchasing the policy. That way there's no issues if godforbid you ever have to file a claim! Since when is speeding a minor violation????Or ignoring a traffic signal??? - There's one word for your driving ability? Unqualified!l Technically yes, but it doesn't matter as the insurance company in the new state will have your records from the old state and they'll find it anyway. YOU DONT HAVE TO REPORT IT BUT IT WILL COME OUT IN YOUR DRIVING RECORD, ACCIDENTS USUALLY TAKE ABOUT 5 YEARS TO COME OFF YOUR RECORD, AND "LITTLE" INFRACTIONS OR VIOLATIONS, TAKE ABOUT 3 YEARS.
