How to pay a student loan in collection?

My federally subsidized student loan has gone into collections. They will no longer allow me to talk to my state agency about payment. I am now in the position to pay it all off. However, I want to make sure the loan is rehabilitated - i.e. goes back to the government agency from the collection agency. How do I do this? My main concern is that I don't want the payment to look like a collection on my record.

if you make payment in full, youll be fine. if you make partial payment and then make regular payments, it will go back to the agency and look as if it was fine all along. goodluck.
I think you can pay after getting a job
