I need a credit worthy cosigner for a student loan. Can someone please help me? Have you applied for a Federal Perkins Loan or a subsidized Stafford Loan. You don't need a cosigner or good credit to get these. Also, the government will pay your interest for these loans as long as you stay enrolled in school. And you can also complete the fafsa and then apply for the stafford loan through the government. there are two different types of stafford loans that you can get, one that's unsubsidized (where you pay interest while in school) and subsidized (where the govt. pays the interest) and with both, you start paying them off 6 mos. after you're done with school. It doesn't matter what type of credit you have, you'll still get a stafford loan, but you HAVE TO have the fafsa results.I have horendous credit, and I got $3500. yay! Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you. Your school should have scholarship lists available and you can also look online at various scholarships as well.
