How early do taxes post to your account? |
I was supposed to get it on the 16th and was told to wait until the 20th. Well it's th 20th and it ain't here yet. It's currently 1am here. Am I checking to early? the 19th was a Federal Holiday, no bank employees worked on the 19th. It should show sometime today Within 2 weeks of e-filing. Wait until Friday, if not available contact your accountant or tax office. Check after 8am or so. Same thing happened to me. I checked later in the day and it was there. It's hard to be patient I know! We also had direct deposit scheduled on 2/16, but our refund was posted to our account on that Friday morning---there was no delay like you are experiancing. I sure hope your money shows up in the morning posted to your account. I would wait and check again around 6AM because I did check right after midnight and the funds were not there yet....they showed up bright and early when I got up to get my kids off to school. So hang in there and hopefully you will get it in the morning. If not, be sure and call your bank and find out if the deposit really did come in or not. They may have just needed more time to post it if it came in late in the day on Friday. I was also supposed to get mine on the 16th but I haven't yet. I have been on the phone with the IRS all morning and can't get through to a live person, check the IRS website again - it'll tell you if the funds have been deposited yet or not. My status doesn't say that they have been deposited yet - it still says I should receive by the 20th. I jope you have better luck then I do. I have heard several things about the IRS being behind this year in their processing so hopefully we will have them no later then this Friday. Best of luck to you! Did it ever come?
