I have an HSA account. What is the rate at which I would be taxed, if I closed the the account now?

There is a 10% Penalty on the money, and the rest of the money will be taxed at your basic Federal and Local rate. For example, if you have $10,000 in your HSA, and you are taxed at a 30% rate, you will pay $1000 in penalties, and 30% of the remaining $9,000 = $2700 in taxes, netting you $6,300.
your tax rate, plus a 10% penalty for not using it for medical expenses? just guessing.
