Where can I find a good accountant for year-round tax advice? |
What are some good questions to ask potential candidates? Where did you go to school? When did you pass the CPA exam? Do you continue to take classes? Are you computerized? Can you give me the names and phone numbers of some clients, please? How do your fees compare with your peers in the field? Do you have any ideas for saving me money? "Good accountant" is an oxymoron ....somewhat like "good attorney" or "government worker". Have you tried the yellow pages? A good accountant will give you a list of clients to call for references.
