Anyone have any advice at all about county tax sales?

They will put out a public notice and anyone can go and bid .. but you have to know when and where it is and sometimes that is hard in a bigger city ..

Well, before you try to buy one of these properties, you'll want to do a thorough check to be sure there aren't any liens on the property.

You'll want to inspect it for structural damage, needed repairs, code violations, and the like, so you know what you're buying.

If you plan to live on the property, you'll want to see about MUD districts, homeowners associations, and that kind of thing, too.
