No and yes.
If there is long term capital gain on Shares, its EXEMPT.
If its other Long term capital gain and total income is less than RS lac by including LTCG, no tax is to be paid.
If its short term, it should be added to your other income. If total is more than Rs Lac, you will have to pay tax
